Banana and Elderflower Smoothie
For a refreshing snack or breakfast on the run, you can’t beat this wonderful smoothie.
3 tbsp Bottlegreen Elderflower Cordial
1 banana
1 tsp vanilla extract
450ml (3/4 pint) milk
4 tbsp low fat plain or vanilla yogurt
1 tbsp clear honey
3 scoops Bottlegreen Elderflower Sorbet
Extra honey and mint leaves, to decorate
1 Put the Elderflower cordial, banana, vanilla extract, milk, yogurt, honey and 1 scoop of sorbet into a blender. Whizz together for about 15-20 seconds, then pour into tumblers.
2 Top each glass with another scoop of sorbet, drizzle with a little extra honey and decorate with mint leaves. Serve at once.
SERVES 2
Cook’s Tip: For a change, substitute Bottlegreen English Summer Cordial for the Elderflower, add 100g (4oz) fresh or frozen raspberries and use raspberry or strawberry yogurt instead of plain.
